Frank Canino’s New Play
This 45 minute script retells the stories of Iphigenia from Greek mythology paralleled with the Biblical story of Isaac and Abraham. This piece is part one of a two part drama: NEVER WAS A GOOD WAR. Part two is a fresh adaptation/deconstruction of Euripides, retitled HECUBA AGAIN about the aftermath of the Trojan War and its consequences to women and children especially. So IFFY & IZZY deals with the moments before the war, while HECUBA AGAIN deals with its tragic results. Each piece can be performed alone or coupled with the other script for a full evening.
